Transfluid developed its own electric machines mounted both on the hybrid groups and on the EPSs (Electric Propulsion Systems). The latter are the combination of the electric motor and a gearbox, which is also Transfluid supply.
Possible combinations with Transfluid products
The EPS allows the vehicle designer to overlook the propulsion mode (electric or with internal combustion engine) when designing. The EPS innovative concept consists in the RANGERMATIC automatic “Powershift” transmission coupled to a permanent magnets electric motor, optimizing the vehicle driving and enhancing the engine performance. Thanks to the RANGERMATIC reduction ratios, you may always have the optimal ratio according to operating conditions. RANGERMATIC also offers two speed reverse gear, protecting the components from transient current peaks. Some of the main applications for Industrial on-road and off-road vehicles for example: Airport Vehicle sector (GSI) and Road Train sectors.

The Tier-G is a high efficiency electric motor, that means energy saving - higher battery operation time (when not connected to the grid for industrial applications). No vibrations, very low noise compared to internal combustion engines, compact size, high power/weight ratio and very flexible torque profile.
EM: Transfluid manufactures three-phase, permanent magnet, synchronous electric machines (PMSM) with natural convection air cooling. This solution ensures high efficiency and simplicity with a limited weight and size. The PMSM machine is operated by a Motor Controller (Frequency Drive) allowing it to work both as a motor and as a generator. The electric machines range and controllers perfect integration allows a compact installation, as well as easy and effective management during any operational phase.
